Strongly recommend this hostel. Kudos to chef. Liked the way our dormitory room was arranged. By the way, parking fee - aud 10 per day. It was located near the beach. All in all hotel's food was INCREDIBLE, plus we visited Rococo based in the area.

Excellent location near the beach and major attractions. Helpful staff available 24/7. Private room options are available. Good breakfast with freshly made pancakes. Clean and orderly breakfast area.

The welcome was great when I first arrived. Everyone was extremely friendly! There's always something going on and it's never a dull moment! Tue rooms are clean and checked daily which is great for a hostel! The newly renovated kitchen always had clean stuff to use and I was able to chill out in front of the tv if I didnt feel like going into the amazing red eye bar. The 24 hour reception makes a huge positive too!

the internet facilities are really good and accessible. the bar is fun and friendly and the general atmosphere of the place is really lovely:)
8 people seemed alot to be in one bedroom, it wasn't a problem, just a little crowded, it was fine as we were only there 2 nights, not sure if I could do that for longer.

I stayed in the sanctuary girls room so enjoyed the extra perks such as a free glass of bubbly in the evening and tea/coffee to room at the weekend. Also, the kitchen was being renovated so breakfast was free.

I had a great stay at this hotel! the value for money was excellent. Despite being a little more expensive than other hostels, we definitely got our money's worth. The attention to detail was impressive, with our own private bathroom for 6 girls. It was clean and had all the basic amenities we needed. The location was fantastic, really near to a tram stop which made it easy to travel into the city. St Kilda itself is a beautiful place with lots to explore. The staff were friendly and the service was great. Plus, the breakfast served here was amazing - the pancakes were the best!

The staff were helpful and friendly. It can't have been easy have a basement full of water. I was shown to the room by flashlight.
Due to the floods, there was no hot water or electricity on site. When I got back to the dorm, someone was in my bed and I had to sleep on an already-used cot!

The staff were great and the convenience was terrific.
The room was pungent. 5 long term residents with no concern for ventilation. I could not stay in the room. It stank terribly and I grew up with a brother so are used to bad men smells but this was unbearable.

Great location, close to the beach and the venue I was headed to. Excellent staff, clean rooms. Watched the afl Grand Final on the big screen in the Red Eye bar. I had a great time.
SInce it was Saturday night, and the bar was right under my room, it was quite loud. But I didn't sleep anyway so it didn't really annoy me that much.
